Default Pred tie rods SUCK!!!

I'm kidding, I really don't know. But I did somehow manage to bend both my small inner tie rods on my pred. I realigned the tires and reset the toe, but for the last couple races, after a couple laps I get this huge stabbing burning pain in the back of one shoulder. Almost like it's from bump steer. I have messed with my front rezzis just to be sure, but id doesn't matter where I set them, it still aggravates my shoulder after about 30 min. New inner rods are 41 bones apiece from partsland...ouch! Anyone else been experiencing tie rod weakness. I also see that my new stock steering stem is starting to crack the paint again at the very bottom weld! Should I spend the money I don't have and get heavy duty rods and chromoly stem...or are there any other suggestions? Would a steering dampner help?

Pudl, if only I could have your 30min shoulder problem.
10mins on the mx track and I need 2 new arms from arm pump.

Good luck on the rods, Geoff.

Default Pred tie rods SUCK!!!

I'm a very relaxed rider and usually don't get arm pump. the soreness I'm talking about is in the back of my shoulder near my shoulder blade. I have the tires adjusted when sitting still, but I wonder how much it's actually affected when travel is being used up, or during turns. I'm prob. gonna have to replace them. Has anyone priced HPD's heavy duty tie rod kit, or know of any others?

Pudl, like I said in your PM, I'll have to double check the HPD kit to see if it contains the little buggers. I know it has heavy duty, greasable tie-rods, and the larger pivoting arms, just not sure if it has the little ones. Aircraft Spruce and Specialty, in their racing catalogue have greasable 3/8-24 rod ends, but the bolt size for the stockers is 23/64, and the through hole for the Aircraft spruce units is 3/8...maybe a bushing could be used.
