Well, all the little cheerleaders are all mad now. Just remeber, the "idiot" has the fastest Predator. and I am not constantly crying about it popping cause I can't tune it. After you 4 blow your money on the latest mods and still make less power than stock, Just remember I told you so. (Like the clamp-on). I know you like the clamp-on, you would. Ever wonder why most Predator owners left this site, poor information. Good luck to you all, I hope I see you at a track soon.

Sp
Mate, what are doing?
And what are you achieving?
I,m sure there are a lot of other things you would rather be doing than slagging off at people.
Take a breath and please come back in your time to enjoy, listen, and respond .
I believe you have a lot to offer as so many do here. Perhaps you may try to not throw it so hard.
I still believe you have the best thoughts about my"precious" popping issue and I thank you for the help.
I do also admire your loyalty. Try defending in a more hospitable way though.
And fair dinkum don't be so sensitive, my last post was only intended to give people a laugh about "Pleasures" spelling, sorry if you believe it was directed at you.
Now as for you attacking me, I'll let it go thru to the keeper, because you were only shooting from the hip, and we both know it isn't true.
Have a great 4th. Popping off for now Geoff.

Aussie, I do apologize, I did misunderstand your post. I took it as an assault on me.
Tina, I don't question your set-up, I don't even know what it is. You entered into this post of your own free will to pop off at me. If you can't take it, stay out of it.
Ruckus, if you don't like reading my post, then you leave. No one has been able to dis-credit anything I have posted about mods on the Predator. Just there opinion.
And back to the original post that started this thread, Rath must agree with my knowledge of the effective RPM range of the Predator. Thats why he set the limiter where he did. I am sure his box will make solid number's, without dropping valves or breaking cranks. See Superbike don't sell springs, cdi box's, pipes or most of the other stuff. So, why would I care which one you bought. I do know what will make power and what's hype. Polaris spent 3 years designing the cam, Your not going to find a better all around cam, you can get one that will turn 10000 rpm for a drag motor, but it's not going to have anything in the low and mid, just good for dragging. Same for the low end, you can get a low end cam and give up peak HP. But for all around performance stock is perfect. Call the Popular cam manufacture's and ask for your self. (hot cams, web cams). The stock valve trane is good for 9200 RPM safely, unless your going to a drag cam, ported heads, valves, crank, an all out race motor, thats more than you need for the best torque curve. ( and the comment on shimming springs, My motor is an all out race motor, no two springs are exactly alike. Shimming them is the only way to meet exact tolerence.) It's not a short cut as posted by the un-informed. no one produce's perfect products. You can install springs out of the box and assume there the same, but there not. There not even needed on a mildly modified motor. Spend your money where it will help is my message, Port work, big bore kit. Not on carbs, springs, cams, most of the pipes are the same, so pick what you like. Polaris put some good parts in there, use them and get the most out of them. Changing carbs, adding cams, springs and turning 10000 rpm on a stock bike will not perform any better than stock.
