what is a good all around replacement tire for a 4x4 400? I heard Relators are very heavy. I will be in sand from time to time and would like something like the Relator that can be turned around for sand. What about Spidertracks? What does the guy from Alton use? He seems to rip through sand.

2000 Srambler400 4x4 Aaen pipe,38mmtmx flatside carb, air box mod, rad valve, Aaen stage one clutch kit, roller action clutch, Weisco piston, Renthal bars.

I put rear Bearclaws on my 400Scram. They resemble the Spider tracks. They are great in pretty much anything. I don't know too much about sand riding though. There are bound to be other responses by experienced Scram riders.

XCT Holeshot tires seem to be all the rage. I know they are used for motocross and would be good for all around but what about sand? I don't ride in alot of sand but the atv park I go to has quite abit of sand and we seem to be in it more than I think we will.

I really like my Blackwaters. Seem to last longer than the originals too. I see Tucker Rocky now sells a Blackwater clone called Trail Wolf for quite a bit less.

I think Black Waters are more of just a mud tire. What machine do you have?

Have a "97" 500 Xplorer. Dont do much sand but the bars a far enough apart that I thought they may work semi good in sand.

With all of the mods you have(or even without) you should have no trouble turning the Realtors. I have a scram 500 with the realtors and like them quite a bit. What you lose in weight you more than make up for in sand(and snow) scoopability(<new word hehe). You Would be happy with the Realtors.

I run bearclaws all around and have never been happier, Compared to the stock tires these tires are the best and are pretty cheap too. They handle great on the hard packed and in the mud they can't be beat.I've also had a set of McClearys on and the bearclaws are better.

Well let me tell ya!!! Maxxis SurTrax!!!!!!! I just put a set on my 400 and they bite hard and can be reversed for sand but used them today in sand using the dirt directions and they are awsome. They are really a great tire at a low cost.

Good Luck
