Need advice----jetting/spark plug
#1
I put a K&N on my Scrammy but before I run it I wanted to check the spark plug (as graciously suggested from here)...
I undertook the large task of getting to the plug and here are some pics of it...Spark Plug
It looks a very little bit rich to me, but this is the first plug I've looked at....what's your opinion? Would the extra air coming in flatten it out to just about perfect or would it make it go too lean? (I'd rather run rich than lean )
The book suggests a main jet of 155 for my temp and altitude range, and it has a 155 jet in it.....so is the only real way of finding out if I need to re-jet going to be ride for 10 minutes or so and check the plug again?
I don't know why I didn't buy the whole K&N kit....live and learn I suppose.....
Anyways.....if I do need to re-jet, I'm assuming I go up in jet size to even things back out (more fuel)......is that correct? Just go 1 size?
Thanks for any help

Don't worry about it. I did not have to rejet mine after putting on the K&N. The scramblers come a little rich from the factory and the K&N should put it about perfect. The only reason you should need to rejet is if you pipe it.
