Water in my counter balance oil???
it happened with about 800 miles onit i had it about 9 months but my dealer went to bat for me and got polaris to do it under warranty.they replaced the c- balancer and seals ,when it happened i noticed it was losing coolant from reservoir i filled it up a few times but it still kept losing it ,i thought at first it was a bad head gasket , but when i went to change my oil for the first time i found where it was going the oil was a mixture of white and green sludge the excess coolant had been getting blown out the c-balancer vent line,i now have 4000 miles onit and just got my motor totally rebuilt (only because i have sank it to the bottom to many times)and the builder said that the c-balancer and seals looked good.

Water in my counter balance oil???
I got it back today! Dealer was great about it. Covered it under warranty with no problems. The mechanic told me that if I hadn't have changed the oil after every ride like I did that it would have been toast. I told him about how at first I question wether or not it was coolant. He showed me the oil and said that it would take a lot of plain water to make the antifreeze that white. So I guess that's is a good thing to look for. Thanks for all your help. I'm going riding!

Water in my counter balance oil???
I'm going to add one more piece to the puzzle. My counter balance oil was doing the same thing, contaminated after every ride. Drain it flush it drain it flush it, nice and clean until the next ride. I was not losing coolant, no raise in the counter balance fluid level, no leaking from the weep hole, and nothing being vented from the counter balance like it should if it is getting antifreeze in it and making it overserviced. We don't ride in alot of water but almost everytime we are out we have to cross at least one stream or mud hole somewhere on the trail that is probably at or a little over the floor boards. Couldn't figure it out, checked and rechecked everything obvious. Last fall I trail modded it and when I did I also blocked off the oil injector. Suprise suprise no more water in the counter balance oil. The injector pump spline is lubricated with the same oil thats in the counter balance and all I can figure is that water was getting in past the injector pump. Ever since I put the blockoff kit on I have not had any contamination in the counter balance.

Do you know what it cost for your friend to get that problem fixed? I have the same problem right now with the water pump seal leaking and now I have a hole in my crankcase.
