How many miles? (And a BIG shout-out to Highlifter)
#1
This question gets asked all the time on the snowmobile forums, but I haven't seen it on here since I've been a member. What is the most miles you've riden your quad in one day? I'm sure some of our Canadians friends will put us to shame, but we went to the ride/rally in Watersmeet, MI yesterday and rode 185 miles. Those of you who are not familiar with Michigan's Upper Peninsula (I'd guess about 99.999% of you) many of our atv and snowmobile trails are abandoned railroad grades where you can cruise comfortably for miles.
Now for the big props to Highlifter. One of my friends rides a lifted Cat 500 with 28" Outlaws. He got a flat left rear tire about 35 miles into the day. I'm talking a rip so big that 3 plugs and a bottle of slime didn't stop it. He rode the rest of the day on a totally flat tire (actually, airless is a better term because Outlaws don't go completely flat even with no air) , much of the time around 45mph including at least 25 miles of blacktop and made it home with the tire still intact and on the rim! If anyone from Highlifter is on this forum - great job! - and he expects a new tire in exchange for using his testimonial for advertising.
