Default 03 Trailblazer Rear Shock Breaking

I have a 03 trailblazer 250 that I have broke the rear shock on twice in the last 4 weeks, it always breaks the rod in half about 2 inchs from the upper mount. I have had the machine for 4 months and this is my first quad, when I was looking for a quad the polaris had more suspension than any of the rest for the money now I wonder if its all show. Is this a problem that anyone else has seen?

Thats all new to me. I am 6'1 225lbs and get some pretty good air and it soaks up the jumps really well. I dont even know anyone that has broken the rear shock. Maybe you need to set the tension tighter.

I've got the Fox shock on my 99tb and can jump like crazy.
How big of jumps are you going off of and how are you landing?

I'm about 5'11 150lbs and I tried setting the tension as tight as it would go this last time but it still broke.

The 250 is the only sport machine without the FOX shock which I know is a cost factor but still concerns me. I ride on 2 different tracks and so far it has broke once at each place, the jumps are typical motocross size I've jumped the unit 35 feet or so but it has actually broke both times on the smaller jumps. I have came up short a time or two but it should not do what it's doing. My friend has a 02 kawasaki lakota of course you can't jump it quit as high but I try to ride it like I ride my TB and it has never had any Failures.
