Default changing primary clutch springs

I just ordered a new primary clutch spring for my Trailblazer and need to know how to install it. Any information you have to help me let me know. Thanks.

Remove the clutch cover, remove the six bolts that hold the plate on.Then remove the center bolt, the plate will then come off and you can replace the spring.Remember that when you put the plate back on there is an X on the cover that needs to be lined up with the X thats inside. If you do not do this the clutch will be out of balance.Hope this helps.

Just one thing to add. That plate will be under some pressure from the
spring! Not much of a problem when you remove the spring but depending
on which spring you are installing, you might need some help pushing
the plate back on enough to get the bolt started!

I use a wood broom handle to to stick thru the mechanism to hold it in place while tightning the bolts, just make sure it's not sitting on the spring.

Dont forget about the white plastic bushing that goes on the end of the center bolt. I have seen people forget this or misplace it.
