[i]2 stroke is out of the question - I want to make sure I can ride it in the future. Colorado will probably have laws by 2006 prohibiting 2 strokes.
They will not build/sell new ones there after 2006 but there is no way they can make you crush your current bike is there?

Not sure of the specifics of the legislation - just don't even want to have to worry about it. I like 4 strokes better anyways.

Dude definitly get the Scrambler because Prarie has the best acceleration well 4X4 way's, plus the scrambler goes faster too the prarie probably only tops out at 65mph while the scrampler tops out at 67 or 68mph, eh and about the scrambler 400 don't get a two stroke those things are just annoying and they are more able to getting stuck in mud. About where your riding at the prarie kicks *** on the trails but when it comes to getting fast riding then you'll probably want the scrambler, but as the subject goes on you'll most likely need the normal polaris Nuetral Forward Reverse and that's about it

The 500, less maintenance and more low end torque.

Yes, but if you notice that he wants to 'sport ride' and do hills and such. That is from low end torque, not high revving HP.

I pesonally think the 500 4 stroke is a better all around choice. Yes, I know all you 2 strokers have a problem with that, and I know 2 strokes can be more modified, etc- but in his case- is it worth it? Is he going to mod heavily? Or just possibly put a pipe, clutch and tires and go?
