The only thing spinning is your brain. I've been talking real world the entire time. Acuse me of what you like, it just escalates your level of contradiction.
Bart! I thought you died.....now who's riding the 450? Super Dave is supposed to have one, hopefully by Akeley. All of them need to be uncorked.

I would rather take a Kawi/Suzuki 400 and take it up to a 440 then take a 500 down to a 440. To me, unless you really do your math with engine modding, smaller is not better.
Has anyone ever seen a 440 kit for a Raptor? NO, going from 660 to 440 would not be cool or smart.
I am glad to see that the kit is out, I said to myself when the Pred came out, "damn good performing quad, but too big for pro racing" Why a 500??
Anyway, with the Pro Production class so popular, Predator owners can now enter in this class. With 2-cycles getting kicked out the door, might as well join the thumper class!
So, who is going to be the first to try this kit?
03 black and red Raptor
MBRP pipe on the way??
modded stock airbox and muffler
PRM Desert Grab Bar

I thought I had read somewhere in a magazine that a Pro Production open class could be around the corner. Anybody else hear about this. I am new to the racing stuff so if it already exists do flame.

Adam, it's purpose is to fill that racing niche'. I'm sure there is a noticeable quickness in revs. I know behind the scenes, the Polaris people, and Rath have been working really hard on this. Can't wait to see the results. Look at their record, they could've soaked people for a head-pipe, but it didn't produce gains, hence, they didn't market it. I'm sure the 440 has been through the works, and proven itself. Behind the scenes, there's a Taz sized tornado of work being done....some pretty progressive folks. And Mikey, yea, you never know, they're always changin' things. It's gotta drive the factory folks nuts.

Ridley, better go easy on your predictions. I just happen to know where one of these 440 Predator's is going through some dyno testing right now. In the hands of a skilled engine builder this thing will make some serious power. And if your ever down south, and are interested in a little 1/8 mile drag racing, I will be glad to change your opinion of a over weight Predator. The modded yzf 450 around here really have not impressed anyone at the drag strip. I am sure it's a great moto-x bike. But it's not a drag racer.

Ridler, what exactly is "this yesterday"? Is it any different from "that yesterday"?
Now if we take a dollar for dollar comparison of the pro quads out there....hmmm, I wonder which machines had probably $10,000 additional dumped into them. Hmmm, I wonder which machines have been out longer, hence benefitting from a longer R&D period. Talk all you want, we can still read the nervous Nelly right through you. Give 'em some time on this setup, then start flapping your gums from the spectator chair. It's all good pal, the "rebirth" of factory supported quad racing. Polaris took an interest, that's a lot more than I can say for most of the manufacturers.
Crash is a crash. If you can't avoid one, then you probably won't win one.
