I bought a unifilter and tried to install it on my Magnum 325. I ran into a problem trying to get the clamp to hold it on the intake. The rubber flange on the filter is not flat and every time I try to tighten the clamp, it just slides off.

I'm using the original clamp which is smooth on the back so there is nothing to grip the flange. I've thought about using a different clamp or "roughening-up" the back of the original clamp so that it will bite into the rubber.

Any ideas?

You could try a tie strap.
