Are tachs worth buying

I was lookin at the hpd web site and i seen the tachs and i thought that would be really cool to have one on my bike but i dont no what the differnce between the 2 pulse and 4 pulse what is the differnce

i dont know what 2 and 4 pulse means. I have seen tachs and hour meters combined. They make them for 2 strokes which fire every reveloution or some 4 strokes which do the same. And they also make a 4 stroke model which fires every other reveloution. Harbor freight tools has them for $35

I just thought about something culd the 2 pulse be for a 2 stroke and the 4 pulse be for a 4 stroke

I have the HPD tack ziptied to my handlebars. It looks cool but that is the only one i saw.

The 400 2-strokes require 2 tach pulses per revolution. The 500 4-strokes require a tach pickup that can read 6 pulses per rev.
