I have 98 SC500 replaced my belt for the first time in march of this year. It definitly needed it. Asked the dealer if there was a better one.He to recommended Polaris stock belt said that the belt was a soft compound and would grip better. I am happy with the stock belt I can pull the front wheels at will at low speeds of course without a clutch kit! I have read in other posts that the new Ranger belt has a top cog design which aids in cooling. Dont know about the compound. HTH

I have no first hand expieriance with anything but the Polaris belts, except the Ranger belt, but I heard the Ranger belt is supposed to be better than a Dayco, and will last longer. I heard the Dayco and stock belt is a little softer though for better grip, but wear faster. Again though, this isn't first-hand expieriance.
Check the low-speed Scrambler thread.

I use a GoodYear Powerstreak It is a great belt a very good rubber compond But then what would you expect it is Goodyear and they have been around the block for a dogs age the belt itself is just a little bit smaller than stock which also no belt slap on the cover and your engagement is better.
I cannot remeber the part# for this belt but I got the info from a post I read I think it was 400L who posted it.
Have a good one
