Default Trail Boss 03' Impression and Questions

I've had my Trail Boss for a few weeks now and have ridden it quite a bit.
it seems like a reliable machine with pretty good suspension. I wish it had a little stronger pull and top end.
I've climbed the thing up some pretty narly hills where I was sure I was going to need 4wheel drive. The thing is a mountain goat.
It climbs well, it's crawled over all kinds of fair sized rocks.
Basically I've been surprised that a quad at this price would perform this well.

I have few questions though..Are these things rev governed? Seems I should be able to rev the engine out a bit higher.
Also what is the stock jetting on these and is it jetted for sea level? I'm thinking of installing a Dial a Jet because I ride in between 1000' and 8000' on a regular basis. Is this an easy install?
Do I need special tools to tune the clutch?
Has anyone upgraded thier suspension?
I see that Fox makes a replacement shock and a set of struts for this machine. Has anyone tried these?
Also I'm considering the Ritter pipe with a spark arrestor. Will this pipe be much louder than 96db. I live in Ca and we have that new sound law for bikes and atvs.

Thanks for any replies.
