Let me know what you guys think about this? A family member is wanting to sell me a 96' 425 4x4 Magnum for $1700.00. I have not seen the ATV but, I will be in PA this weekend which is where the thing is at. From what I have been told it has less than 800 miles on it and looks great. Of course I will be checking eveything out before I make up my mind. Any input would be appreciated.

I have to agree...That seems like a very good price. I recently sold my 96 explorer 300/4x4 and my 96 express 300/2x4 for $5000.00(for both). I felt like I gave them a good deal and the explorer isn't the machine that the magnum 425 is.

Your'e not buying it, your'e stealing it! What brings to mind. Is it stolen? You wouldn't believe the list of stolen Polaris every month.

That is an excellent price if the machine is in even fair shape. I have a 98 and its been a good machine with no major problems. I would check it out real well and maybe have a VIN inspection done on it to be safe. While your family member may not be a crook, the prior owner/stealer may be. In Ohio, ATV's are required to be titled upon transfer and this includes a vehicle VIN # inspection to ensure that it is not stolen. Remember: If it is too good to be true, it probably is.

Thanks to everybody that offered input. Looks like I'll be adding this to the stable if everything checks out. Can't pass up a good deal.

I paid $3000 for my '98 Magnum 425, with around 800 miles on it. I think THAT was an excellent deal...if yours is in good shape...it's better! Post back after the weekend? (I'm in PA too, if YOU dun buy it...I wanna!)
