1. When it's cold the rad should be full and the overflow bottle should be between the min and max lines.
2. If you have bubbles coming up through the rad it is possible the head gasket is leaking.

Hey mlollar it sounds like you have a head gasket gone more then liklly a warped head also my 98 had that happen you can fix it your self it is real easy costs about 75.00 for the parts. 1 spark plug, 1 head gasket, 1 oil filter ,2 quarts of oil ,1 valve cover gasket. Make sure your head is not warped 2 thousands is the service limit it cost me 5 bucks to shave the head and about 5 hours of work to r&r the gasket.Hope this helps Jaime
