Default White bros pipe

A friend of mine owns a Predator and just got a White bros pipe for it. He called me tonight and said he was going to put it on for this weekend and later on down the road re-jet it........this seems like a bad idea to me. I own a Raptor and there's no way I'd have put my pipe on without rejetting. So my question to you is, on the predators with just an aftermarket pipe would it hurt anything to not jet it? I asked if the pipe came with jetting recommendations and he said yes but he wasn't worried about it. Scares the hell outa me. I don't want him to toast his motor this weekend from running to lean.

The same question for a 500 scrambler. I am looking to put a white bros pipe on it, should I def rejet it before I install the pipe?

The wb pipe does not require jetting according to their instructions. only if a aftermarket air filter is installed also. I ran mine without jetting before I installed the K&N drop in. I rejetted to a 160 main at sea level

Caddy, if the instructions don't have any reccomendations for jetting, then your are going to have to do a plug check. If you are running lean, I would put a 160 main jet in and turn the pilot screw 3 to 3 1/2 turns out from lightly seated. Then do another plug check and see what that gets you.
