Does anyone have problems starting a Magnum 330 when it's cold.
Maybe I have a problem, coldest natured Atv I have ever seen ,You can't choke it if you do it dies, You have to start and let it idle for about 5 minutes, Can't give it gas or it dies.
Any help thanks........

The 330 series motor is known for htat problem. It is considered a very 'tight' motor and was specifically made for cold weather conditions. And yes, I do see the irony in a 'cold designed' engine not starting well in the cold.

Our Trailboss 330 runs like crap below 80 degrees (for the first 10-15 minutes) and worse the colder it gets until it warms up properly. Once warm, however, it runs great. THe longer you own it, the better it gets.

 

on my trail boss 330, the breaking in period change was very noticeable. i got really hard to start and it seemed as if to get the choke to work you would have to pull it all the way out and then it would kill. so i went through and adjusted the idle speed. it worked a little but still the problem was not fixed. so i thought i mighthave to increase the tesion on the throttle cable. i fiddled with it while trying to get the machine running, and now it starts like a dream. but it seems it runs a lot hotter now and sometimes backfires after constant use with out a 5 min cool down. try this and let me know if it works on your machine like it did mine.
