Big Tires for Scrambler
#1
I am looking to get some more ground clearance for my scrambler. So far the easiest and cheapest alternative I have heard is new tires. I do a lot of trail riding on rough, rocky trails and I was wondering what is the biggest and best tire I should get for this purpose. Also what are the sizes I should look for? Are the factory steel rims strong enough to hold up to a lot of dents and some bg hits from rocks, I dont so much care about weight, just wondering about strength.

I would reccomend NOT going over 25" because you have no low gear. Keep in ming, bigger tires are going to cause more stress on the drivetrain. I have put my stock rims through HELL and all they show are a lot of scratches. I hit a concrete curb in a parking lot head on at about 40mph and it blew out the fron tire, BUT the rim was only scratched. (Long story) As far as tires got, look for a 6-ply tire cuz of all those rocks. I have been very pleased with my Titan 489X/T's
