I've been looking around on the net to see if anyone has heard anything about axle breakage on the predators. My brother just bought one about 2 weeks ago and was nearly killed when the axle snapped while launching on a jump last weekend. From what I understand, the jump was only about a 10 foot jump, but that shouldn't matter since it happened on the launch.
Everything was stock on the predator. The break was in a groove cut for the C-clip for the sprocket (I think that's what the groove was for anyway).
Any news about this is greatly appreciated!

Damn that would be the first time I've heard of an axle problem. the pred comes with a nice strong axle from the factory. COuld have been a factory defect or somthing..keep us posted! Oh..hope your brother is ok..

 

Yeah, dido...Don't know why the axle cracked. It's a chromoly axle. I've taken huge leaps, flat landings,and plenty of rocks racing...but knowone I've heard of has broken a pred axle!
