Default SP 700 - Radiator Hose

If you own a Sp 700, mine is the 02 model, check the upper radiator hose. It's routed right against the frame on it's way back to the engine. The frame rubbed a hole right through the protective covering on the hose and into the hose itself. The hose is flanged on the engine end but I found one at Autozone for $12.99. Probably alot cheaper than what Polaris wants.

Thanks for the info VP. I've heard this before. Some fix it with pipe insulation over the hose or zip ties away fom the frame. Gonna look into mine before it rubs through. BC

Talkt o your polaris dealer, thsi is a know issue and they have a fix for it. They got a newly designed hose that stay a bit away fromt hte frame and they also install a protective sleeve over it. It shoudl be covered under warrenty if it's not expired on yours yet.

I wrapped mine with 1-1/2" split loom tubing ( the stuff for wires) and then zip tied it tightly to the frame....no issues so far. While on the topic of radiator hoses, my lower one got pulled off going through some brambles and before I knew it ALL the coolant was gone. Since the temp warning is in the water jacket it didn't read any thing for some time..OOOPS! Anyway, replace the weak hose clamp with a stainless steel automotive worm drive type and save yourselves.

In case you are interested, I seen a set of wheels on eBay for a 700. They are new take offs. They seller has them on there right often, they usually go for around $165 for a set of four.
