I would like to announce that I am now joining the 1% of those that have cracked their pred frames. I had the tank off this weekend preparing for a race, and sure enough a new development...the right side right in front of the tank/engine mount bracket was cracked halfway through. I took some pics, and told the dealer...but didn't want to go through the hassle of swapping frames! So I eventually found a buddy with a wire welder, welded the crack, and made some heavy duty gussets off the tank mount. I'll have some pics shortly to post if any other pred owners want to take preventative measurements. Our method may look a little crude...but it's heavy duty and won't crack there ever again!!

 

That has to suck, that's probably the 4th one I've heard about. There's about 3 or 4 sitting behind the polaris dealer here with the frame completely broken and since they were race quads, polaris won't pay to fix them.

I have had a cracked frame on a Magnum 325 and a 700 Sportsman. So it is not just a Predator thing it is a Polaris thing.
