Default rear wheel slip on 95 425 MAGNUM 2X4

Hi! Was out this past weekend riding and I noticed that was having problems moving. My right rear tire would spin like mad and my left rear tire wasn't moving at all. I've never had this happen before. I made it back to the truck and got it home. I took it apart tonight and I notice that the axle goes to a hub that is attached to the axle by a spline (for the lack of a better word) and has 2 washers, a nut and a cotter pin that hold this in place. I took the hub off and there are groves in the hole... groves at the front and groves at the back. Now when this hub is on the axle and held in with the nut the hub spins freely. If it is pulled outwards (away from the bike) it grabs. It looks as if when it is installed the groves on the front of the hub don't even touch those of the axle. I'm sure I've just confused many of you and I'm sorry for my poor descriptions, but if there is anyone who knows what I'm talking about, can you tell me how I can get my hub to connect and stay in place and not spin freely??!! Thanks!!!!!

I would say you need a new hub... It sounds as if yours is stripped. The hub should have splines that fit or should I say mesh with those of the axle. I think if you check closely, you'll notice that your existing hubs are missing. Those splines should be full depth of your hub.
