how can i change my timing i looked in service manual does not say, with pipe and a few other mods and higher octain 10 % alk i want to put 35 degees in it i had a look my self but seen no adjustment.and there must be a rev limmiter how can i disconect it.thanks in power we trust.

 

Hey panhead, I asked this on another forum and got no reply other than "you can't". what I did on my 700 is I took off the pass side flywheel cover and then pulled off the flywheel there is a black pickup that is over the top of the flywheel. I slotted the holes in that and moved it as far as I could advanced. It is hard to see with a light because the marks jump around alot, but I think I got about three degrees out of it. I wanted more but I would have to do alot more work to get it.

On my other thread where I asked you the primary size of your header did you mean 1 7/8 for the two coming out of the head or 1 7/8 after they Y together?

what is the ignition you are talking about.any advice for clutch,im an agrresive trail rider,hills mud etc
