Default Hourly Mechanic Rates

Our Yamaha/Honda dealer charges $75 an hour. I do think they know what they are doing though, but $75 seems too high. They also charge you $30 extra if your ATV is dirty. Has anyome else heard of this?

Yah...we charge you if we have to wash your quad for you...if its that easy do it yourself BEFORE you bring it in for repair...the idiots that drag down dirty machines are only one step smarter than those who bring something in for repair with no gas. They are mechanics not your cleaning crew.

Well thats not a smart buisness practice. My Brother owns and runs a car repair shop.

He will work on your dirty/smelly car just like a clean one.

Green is the same from everyone.

I mean dont bring it in to a shop caked in mud, but quads get dirty.

The mechanic don't get no 60$ per hour though, darn lucky to get 20 of it. The rest is for overhead, heat/ac, secrataries, power, taxes etc...
