Just bought one (picking it up next week). A blue 2004.5 Sportsman 600. Was curious what some of you have seen for top speeds on speedo, radar, GPS or whatever. Not that I really care or if I'll even ever see top end on mine.....was just curious.

about 60-65 on the speedo, probably a little less actual.

 

63 ... GPS verified.

 

Is the 600 faster than the 700????

 

The 700 is a little faster. be careful going down steep hills because ebs is on rear wheels only. Also attend your safty course that polaris wants you to attend or they will void your warrent.

64.5 on a Dyno and that thing is a torque monster so be careful..

Forget the actual figures but it was higher than the 700 but could remember the speed as it was one of only three sport utils to go above 62 on the dyno.. the others were a SP700 and the Kawasaki 650 for those wanting to know.
