For anyone with a sp 6 or 700 how do you like your rawhide grips? I was looking for a good trail tire, that also has deep lugs for the mud. I am looking at 26 or 27 inchers to go in my vinson.

I dont think their that good in the snow; but they seem better than the rest at throwing big roosters of mud n brush. Also,I've been riding with a good sidewall ripin the front, about 300 mi. without the tire failing(so far).

The Rawhides are EXCELLENT! My 2002 Sportsman 500 came with them and they work well in everything (sand, mud, ruts, rocks ect). My 2001 Sportsman (totaled) had tracker Ps which were good but nowhere even close to the Rawhide. They dig like crazy and ride very smooth. They only come the in 25" size but I can assure you the 25 will do just fine. If you must go larger look at the Goodyear Mudrunner or the ITP MudLite.

I have a new 03 Sportsman 500 with about 1000 miles on it. It came stock with the raw hides and they are GREAT in mud. In fact I was out with a bunch of guys last weekend running Black Waters and I passed them several times in the swamps and was able to crawl through bog and ditches in low gear barrley spinning a tire when the others got stuck. I have yet to try them in snow but I will let you know.

My new 04 sportsman had em Factory,.. I love em,.. i also bought a set of "take-offs" at a dealer from an sp 700 for my 2001,.. now I want another set for my 95 sportsman. all around great tire, never even had a leak much less a flat. My buds all have the big $$ wheel/tire packages and i go anywhere they go. altho not a really aggressive looking tire,.. they're damn surprising in the mud,.. they clean nice and dig well.

The only prob I had with the tire is a shimmy in the front end. I accually had to get them ballenced to solve the problem.
