Thought my handle bars were bent on my predator, but no, it is the stem. I didn't think I was that heavy. It didn't make the parts place happy when I returned the bars. I think I will take it apart and see if I can possibly straighten it out , before shelling out 100-200 for a new one. I measured, and the right bar was approx. 1/2 inch higher. Anyone ever try to straighten a stem Installed a twist throttle, it will take a little getting use too. Hope you all enjoy your extra hour sleep tonight, I have to work

Wolsonoo, yep retail is $79.99 but you should be able to get them for less. 6 months ago there were 4 or 5 of us that were getting them around $50 each.

Not sure what the stem on a predator looks like but when i bent the stem on my scrambler I straightend it. On the Scrambler/ Sport/ Trailblazers the are a hollow steel pipe, I heated it up and bent it straight then got a piece of 5/8" round bar stock and drove it down the tube. I just cut it off flush at the top and plug welded it. So far so good and it's been on the bars more times than I can count since then and bending is no longer a problem. Now if I could just say that for the rest of the machine...

Let me know were you can get a stem for 50.00, the place were I bought the Predator wants 105.00, 50.00 would be great. I like the idea of running a peice of steel into the hollow of the stem, sure would be stronger. Not going to tear the bike down till there is a lot snow,, still some good sand riding to be done.
