Any of the cool heads are better than the stock 400 head, but the HPD head is worth the extra cost.

I used the stock head and had it cut and re-chambered for 15:1 comp.I have not had any problems with mine at all.

Not to say there's any actual problems with the stock head, but obviously a cool head will run cooler. After installing a cool head, some people take their fan off to shave off a little weight...

With the O-rings on the coolhead they seal much better. I was having constant head gasket problems with mine. No more since I installed the HPD head.
