Default Master cylider res. replacement

I just replaced my master cylinder reservoir. All I did was put it on , fill it with brake fluid and squeeze the brake lever until it got firm. I spun my wheels and the brakes worked in the garage, but is that all I need to do? That almost seems to easy! Please let me know if there is anything else I need to do. Thanks
