Sportsman 600 vs. Grizzly
I am thinking about upgrading my 4 wheeler. I already had a Prairie 650 and I currently own a Wolverine. I want to upgrade into a ATV with independent rear suspension. I have always been a fan a Yamaha but my friend is having very good luck with the Sportsman. I like the anti sway bar on the Sportsman. Please give me pros and cons of owning a Polaris. One con for me is the nearest dealership for parts is about 40 miles from me.

The 2004 Grizzly has a sway bar also. The Grizzly also has much lighter steering. On the other hand I like my SP700 and would suggest one of these. Ride both and see which one suits you better. The Grizzly is sportier and the SP700 / SP600 is alittle more utility oriented, but they can play both roles pretty well.

I have very good luck with my Sportsman 600. It's extremely comfortable and has plenty of power. I've ridden my buddy's Grizz 660 and I like the feel of my Sportsman much better. It's more user friendly also.
When we ride the trails, usually in 2wd, and come up to a big mud pit, if I feel I need 4wd, I'll flip the AWD switch while I'm moving and head on through. While my buddy will need to stop, push a 4wd button, and if he feels nervice, push the diff lock button also, then go for the mud.
On several occasions, I've also had to pull him out of mud that I can go through. There is a slight difference in power, but only a little. And you won't notice it anywhere except on a flat, straight drag, where he will beat me to 300' by about 1-2 quad lengths, me being the heavier one by 150 lbs though. However, if we hook up our hitches to each other, I can drag him around like a toy.
I also can't tell the difference in weight when riding the trails. Mine actually feels more stable and soaks the bumps up nicer. Hope this helps out some.
