gas leak

Default gas leak

why would a magnum 500 leak gas...if I leave the gas on it is empty if it sits for like a week or 2. but if I turn it off it doesnt leak...ne ideas?

look for cuts in the gas line and check ur gas tank for cracks

I guess I forgot to mention that it is comin out of a tube...cant remember WHERE exactly the tube is and i cant go out and look at it...cuz it is like 70 miles away from me right now...

if it is a black tube then its leaking from the gas line

Sounds like the carb float level is just a tad too hi, allowing gas to seep from the carb overflow tube when not in use. Even though there is a fuel pump, the loss of level in the carb will syphon the gas from the tank through the pump. You can correct the float level, or if it's not seeping during opperation, just remember to shut the fuel of when not in use.

I kinda figured it was a overflow tube. it doesnt leak during operation...it doesnt bother me all that much but it would be sorta nice to fix....thanks for the info
