I am looking to purchase a TB 250 for my sons. With this in mind, how is the 2 stroke to maintain? Do you have to mix oil and gas? Thanks for any insight.

There really isn't a whole lot of maintence on them. They are oil injected, meaning no pre-mixing. Just keep the oil tank full, grease the zerks, and lub the chain. That is all there really is to it. Maybe some other minor things that somebody with a TB can tell you about. There are also some hop up parts for it if that time comes

The stock Polaris 2 strokes hold together and are reliable for a long time. Let them warm up for a few minutes before riding and they will last years before even having to do a top end. Polaris 2 strokes are not super fast in stock form, but they make great torque for a 2 stroke. They are thumpers out of the box, again, they are not super fast.
