my first >? is I have the k&n drop in with the stock air box this is for a 04 predator k&n says not to use the stock pre-filter from the factory is that a good idea or not. Also do you prefer k&ns aerosol cleaner kit or the oil bottle cleaner kit...............As for the outerwears>? does anyone make a waterproof outerwears cover to fit the K&N drop-in filter with the stock box and lid thanks for any help or advice............................

You can ixnay the foam pre-filter. Just make sure to always take your time and make sure the drop-in is seated properly. I don't think anyone makes a pre-filter for that style. Don't waste your money on the K&N cleaner. Fleet Farm, or maybe Farm and Fleet over by you has a gallon jug of Jungle Jake (same as Simple Green, but only about $5/gallon). Use that to clean. I prefer the spray oil over the liquid applicator.

Outerwerars does make a prefilter (outerwear) for the drop in K&N. I have only seen them as part of the Advantage Performance power kit though. I am sure if you contact any dealer they can pick them up from Advantage. I am not sure on the price but would guess that they are about the same as the others.

Badazz, By the way did you end up getting your quad fixed?

I just rode mine kinda gentle for the first tank and did not do it all in one day, the only problems I have really had were the valves tightening up to the point it would not start anymore. Pretty easy fix. The main thing I can say is just vary the rpm and don't hammer it until at least a tank full. But that is just my opinion?????
