I have seen and read were some of you guys are using outerwears on your air filters. I have a K&N Air Filter but I only have the stock air intake on my Wolv. because I ride mostly trails and mud but I have got a little water in the air( about a cap full) box do I need Outerwears to protect my Air Cleaner

I have one on mine. Keeps all the heavier stuff out of the pleats. Make it alot easier to clean. Also, when water hits it, it deflects off of the outerwear, and into the bottom of the box. I have noticed that on dusty days, it helps collect the dust particles.

I think it is. Is it like a fine mesh wrap made from a material that feels like thin plastic?

I would say, no you don't need a rap for such a small amount of water, any good filter oil should help keep water out!!!
