Default Cleaning front hubs

Gonna change the hub fluid on my 98 scrambler, gonna pull of the front of the hub to drain. My question is it alright to spray some cleaner in the hub, maybe electrical cleaner or carb cleaner to get all the crap out. Or am I asking for problems down the road by doing that.

I clean my hubs and bearing with brake parts cleaner. Try and not to get the rear seal though. Also, since your's is a '98, it may not be a bad idea to change the seals on the hub (the o-ring on the cap and the seal by the brake rotor) Cuz chances are they will leak after you put them back on.
