Default FUEL CONSUMPTION

I know people probably already have talked about this, but what kind of milage can you expect to get from a 500 ho sportsman. This is trail riding, low and high gear but not nascar. My machine has a storage box on the back which is usally full of junk so there's extra weight.I figured it out to get around 24 mpg-this sound right? thanks,Bodean---02 500 ho x sportsman numerous mods

One of the fellows I ride with has an 03 SP500 and I think he said he can get somewhere around 60-70miles per tank...I think that's what I recall. He can easily go 4hours without having to worry...

I don't think a mpg number is accurate since rock crawling will burn more fuel without adding up to a bunch of miles...

LOL yeah our 2 strokes are gas guzzlers. I got the new '04 gas cap from my dealer last week..figured I'd really be needing it when I get the bore and 39pwk carb. I'm already burning up the gas fast with a 260 main jet. Gonna have to carry around plenty extra gas now but it's not that bad..time for higher then 92 octane.
