I need info about 4wd
#1
I am currently looking to buy a new 4-wheeler and am very interested in the Polaris. My brother bought one last year and I truly love the machine , except for one thing. When you come down hill in 4wd, the front wheels dont hold you back. Up hill, it climbs great, Its just comming down that concerns me. Is this normal, and why would they design it that way?

The Polaris 4x4 system only has the front engaged when the back end spins 20% faster. Because it isn't always engaged only the back end gets the EBS. The slipping isn't that much of a problem imo..the all 4 brake works well for downhill runs.

I have recently had some interesting trips down hill with my 2003 500HP. Interesting is the topic AWD going on now, I was interesting in making a momentary button to manually override the AWD system down hill to get all 4 wheels holding back, it seems that polaris should address the issue of the wheel hop or skid on downhills from the EBS..

Are you referring to the time it takes for the 4wd system to engage? Because I know what you mean there. They wont engage until the back wheels loose traction, which to me is a stupid idea because there are some places where I want to be in 4wd before I attempt it....but at least we have true 4wd unlike honda's, which I have witnessed hondas 3wd
