4x4 2 Stroke?
#2
Um I think '98 had a 4x4 Scrammy 400..I know 2000 does hehe. 2k is decent I think if it's in good shape. But in the late 90's I think the shock travel was increased so maybe a newer model would be better(not sure what year though I am pretty sure it use to be shorter.) As you can see I don't know much of the early ones and I'm way too tired to look atm lol. Goodluck.

Yes there is such a thing. And if it is in good shape mechanical and cosmetics then 2k is well worth it. The 400 2 stroke has tons of potential. I have seen these in the 4x4 version totally kill banshees and raptors. They are capable of getting 80hp from them. WHEW not thats a 4x4!!

Yes they had Scrambler 400s in 98. Things to look for. Concentric drive would be good. They switched somewhere around 98 to concentric drive. Front drive shaft instead of chain drive. Just less maintenance. Again they switched somewhere around 98. 2k plus or minus is a fair price. Kelly Blue Book

The machine looks to be in fairly good condition. You can tell a lot by the condition of the plastic and stickers. Definitely get rid of the DG Pipe, but see what brand of clutch upgrade it has. Another thing that you would definitely have to do is change the front tires immediatly. It looks in the picture that the rear tires are 22" but the fronts are 21". You need to keep 23" tires on the front to keep the 4 wheel drive working properly. That could be part of the reason the 4x4 doesn't work all the time.
