I have a 98 trailblazer 250 2 stroke. Dec 13 i replaced the head gasket on my atv and then tightened the head gasket to 20 to 25 lbs of torque, but then i was riding and then it stoped, it had little to no power b4 it shut off, and then we checked the spark plug. It was a grayish white color and was felt rough. We checked the compression to make sure the engine wasn't wrecked. The compression was good. I need to know if my jetting is lean, and why is my spark plug this color?

 

What main jet are you running? What compression do you have? The plug should be a dark tan to chocolate color. Sounds like you are a little lean.

 

I have a 170 main jet in and its about 0 throu 40 around here. I'm also running a HSP pipe on it full system, do u think my oil pump went out. Ryan

 

Highly unlikely that the oil injector went out. It would have locked up and/or burnt a hole in the piston. What is your compression at?

 

Ya my compreesion is stock so prolly like 6.1 to 7.1 to one
so what could it be my gas line was on my cylinder head after the engine stoped workin so we though it may have vapor locked the line but i havn't tried startin it yet since it quit. soo

 

I was meaning to say with a compression testor what is the compression?

 

Then i don't know how high my compression is. What could be the problem we tested it b4 i went riding and after and it seemed alright.

 

Did you retorque the head bolts after it had ran and got hot? That is pretty much standard procedure, give that a try.

 

if it was running ok before you changed the head gasket and now it doesn't, sounds like an air leak to me but i dunno
