Default tracks for sp 5oo

has anyone bought the track conversion for their sp 500. If so, how much did it cost for the tracks, and how do they work iin mud and snow. I was wondering if they would be good to plow snow with.

You can check it out at www.mattracks.com. They sell tracks for most atv's.

The only way i could see someone justifying them for what they cost is if they lived in Alaska or way up north somewhere where you have snow on the ground most of the year.

ATV Magazine did a review a few issues ago. they liked 'em.

i think the tracks cost WAY too much! for a cost $3-4K i'd rather buy a good second hand ATV.

the tracks are offered in different colors. the Mossy-Oak camo look GREAT!

I cant see the justification there. If you want tracks for the snow, and live in an area where snow covers the ground, buy a snowmobile. They are supposed to be good in the mud. Does anyone know of the speed loss with these things?

"top-end speedwill be reduced about 25% due to the natural gear reduction gained through the smaller diameter drive sprocket of the track kit."

"each track kit weighs about 100 pounds and has a trach width of 11 inches."

wow, that means you're adding 400lbs to your quad!

(still looks like a neat idea though!)

i'd like to see this kit on a RANGER 4X4!!!!!! now that would be IMPRESSIVE!!!!! MASSIVE!!! MEAN!
