Default Atv Insurance help

WHo insures there atv and with who do you insure with???
I already have insurance but, I'm looing for cheaper insurance.I'm insured with formost but, to add my new predator with my scramblers policy would cost me $1100.00 a year. What a rip off!!! I have my 2000 chevy truck and camaro insured for only 1200.00 a year and the truck is ful coverage.
That price is retarted because, how much do we really ride them, also I'm the only driver of these ATVs and how can I ride both at the same time.
Lastly,I don't even know why I have insurance because here in N.J It dosen't really help us.The only reason why I have it is because, if I ever get pulled over by a Cop (yah-RIGHT) They will try To nail Me for driving a unregisterd and uninsured ORV which is the same as if it was a car. Which means that your going to jail!! that is the only reason.
Please tell me who INSURES ATVs
Thank you
Matt @ TEAM BRICKTUCKY

PolarisStar insurance. Mine is through Markel but I think different areas have different companies. Contact your Polaris Dealer for the info in your area.

Progressive is a good company with reasonable rates; however, DON'T buy a policy from them over the internet. I don't know what the deal is, but their on-line prices are significantly more than over the phone. I bought comprehensive and liability for two quads (Prairie 700 and Polaris 500), and pay $291 a year. I see lots of folks here who got collision coverage as well, for less than I'm paying without it, and my driving record is spotless. I can only scratch my head at that. Maybe I'm just screwed because I live in California. Comprehensive covers fire, theft, and acts of God, etc. That's all I really wanted anyway.

Some states have outrageous insurance rates due to the atv theft percentage in that state. I currently have mine through Markel. I pay $270 a year for full coverage with a $250 deductible for my 400EX and a 04 Suzuki Vinson. Progressive quoted me a little over $900.

It also helps if you have completed an atv safety course. Call local dealers, a lot of them offer the course. I got a $100 a year discount for having completed the course.

$70 bucks through Liberty Mutual. I only have theft and liablity though. Thats on a 2000 Sportsman 500. They destroyed everybody else on my Snowmobile coverages. Full coverage was under 120 a piece. Jay
