Rookie Racer, be careful about that slime. I slimed all my tires and it works great, but I get a bad vibration over 40mph now cuz they through the tire balance off. Slime works better in slower moving machines. JMO

I think I am going to start carrying a plug kit with me. Can somebody recommend a good (yet inexpensive) tire plug kit. And probably one with a pump that uses standard C02 cartriges? thanx

The slime works fine in the tires if you use the right amount and only put it in the front. You shouldn't need it in the back. The front tires usually get trashed and leak becasue there hitting rocks head on. Also if you having a balance problem after doing it, then get your wheels rebalanced, and it will fix it. Also you don't have to use tire slime there are other brands, I have used this other stuff but I can't remember what it's called. It comes in a big bottle and has a small tube and tool attached for removing your tire valve to put the liquid in. It's a pink color liquid and look like it has particles in it. One bottle with fill bolth fron tires (half a bottle each). You should be able to get it at your local atv supplier, it is especially for atvs. I never had a balancing problem after putting the slim in.

thanks BIGBAD for the Info. My buddy that I ride w/ has this little plug kit you are talking about. I will find exactly what it is and the name of it for you. Prolly gonna try that to plug up our leaks in the front. I will let you know how it turns out. Also he mentioned something about these little needles that you can put in the tire BEFORE it puncters so that when you do happen to hit something. as soon as it pops or anything it plugs it. Anyone heard of that ?

Problem is most these tires leak around the rims, not from holes. Plugs will not help with that, thats why I recomend the slime.

Never heard of the needles. You may have a leak at the bead or a small puncture. You can take the tire off and put it in a tub of water and see if you can find the leak that way.

After your stock wheel get dented and damaged invest in some good aftermarket wheels. Stronger and better looking, unless you hit a large rock while tailwhipping around a corner. (Ooops! )

I would never put slime in an ATV or any 4 wheeled vehicle. It works awesome on dirtbikes and bicycles though.

Are you saying its worth it to invest in better tires/rims? The way I look at it , your gonna have these minor problems when you ride like we do. Will these upgrades on tires/rims (and im sure much more to come) gonna help resolve these minor problems? IE: slow leaks cuz of beads? reroute wires/hoses? and prolly a lot more stuff that i will encounter as i venture off into new ATV'ing Lands I'll take any advice you guys give. Id rather hear it from all of you that ride and have a similiar machine then to have to talk to them dealers. (as im sure some of you are them also. lol)

Thanks
