Thanks Rookie. Called a dealer in NH, Same price as NY but no sales tax. But they do charge 60.00 per atv for prep work, where as the dealer in NY doesn't. Also, the dealer in NH wants to charge me $225.00 to install the promotional winch, while here in NY the dealer said $100.00. Seems after paying the ferry ride to CT and gas money round trip, I'll save $600.00. But then It will take about 10 hours vs 1 hour to go get the quads. Then I just read a thread tonight about getting insurance on the atv's. Sounds like a real good idea, so then I'll need to reqister the atv's (something I wasn't going to due since I own my own land) so that I can get the insurance....

AAAGGGGHHHH!!!!! Oh heck, the local guy is really helpful and rather take it to the guy I purchased them from just in case theres any warranty issues or add on's I may want later on.

Sorry for the long thread, guess I was still undecided until now. Buy it locally, build a rapport with the owner, register it, get insurance and find other riding locations as while to ride at. Sounds good, I"M SOLD!!!

Do I get any commission's for selling it to myself? LOL

BigBadScrambler,
thought a lot about what i want in my next quad- safe high speed, excellent off-camber handling, mild mudding and snow abilities, and light weight. i've come to realize the Sportsman doesn't fit 3 of my 4 needs.

although the Predator is high-up on my list, living in the Northeast and wanting to ride year round, the Scrammy is more than likely the better ATV for me.....any suggestions and input would be appreciated.

i've never owned a Scrammy. i did sit on one a few years ago and thought the seat was quite hard....but i've read that has been addressed for '04.

i've owned about 11 or 12 Sportsmans over the years. (usually just color changes) i can't wait 3-4 weeks for the new 700EFI and want something for X-mas. as i wrote earlier, i went to see that Scrammy in person and it looks GREAT! really hits the spot for me.

sorry 4 being so long winded!!

adios!

So are you looking into either a scrammy or SP700EFI?

Just a note for you new buyers. Polaris generally offers a discount to use the Polaris financing. Use the discount and finance with your bank after the deal is done.
