Default how does a trailblazer work without reeds?

It is quite difficult to explain but it works by way of special ports through the piston, for the most part. You can see it illustrated quite well at the 'how stuff works' website. It is either www.howitworks.com or www.howstuffworks.com, can't remember which (hope I spelled that right). Anyway, follow the menus for how a chainsaw engine works. The TB uses the same design engine, just bigger.

The 250 is a piston port motor. The piston covers the both ports during combustion. During exhuast and intake the piston clears the exhaust port first then the intake ports are passed by the piston filling the chamber again for combustion.

isn't that how all two strokes work? I thought a reed or rotory valve controlled fuel delivery.
