Has anyone had the need to repair the front end due to squeaking on the new 2004.5 sportsman 400

 

I dont have the 04.5,but most squeaks from polaris quads are from the front springs.I like to spray the ends of the spring(top and bottom) with wd40 .After giving them a good soaking,grab the spring and manually twist them a few rotations.Always worked for me in the past.Scott

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]I HAD A SQUEAK IN MY SPORTSMAN 700...TOOK ME TWO WEEKS TO FIND IT...THE CENTER TIE ROD ENDS WERE MAKING THE NOISE.PULLED THE BOOT BACK AND LUBED..NOISE GONE...HOPE THIS HELPS

 

my 2000 trailblazer250 had a squeak in the front and it was 1 of the tie rods....

 

thanks i was looking at the front end and it seems i might damage the ring that holds the boot to the rod any ideas on how to remove the ring and gain access
