Default Predator Riding Position

My Pred is an awesome ride but, I always find myself sliding down the seat and sitting right up against the tank. At 6' my legs are bent to much to comfortably hit the foot brake to go into corners as hard as I would like. I find myself depending more on my front brakes and not using my back brakes at all. As a result I either have to slow down sooner or go alittle wide into the corner. That and it sits alittle high. The problem is I'm always racing my buddy on his 250r and he is able to corner much faster than me. Which makes are races very close. I know I could lower the suspension, but on the whoops the its rides GREAT!

I would really like to see the seating position alittle more level, instead off the dip they have in the seat right at the tank.

i hated that at first too.. but i got use to it.. and now i can go around corners pretty well... i am usually leaning alot too.. so the seat dip doesnt really effect me.

You could cut and reshape the seat foam. Rath Racing has some pretty sweet seat covers for sale. Its a pretty common thing to do in the dirtbike world. Alot of racers cut or even add foam to make the bike ergos fit the size of the rider. If you look at the bike of all the freestyle riders they cut their seats way down.

Coming from an MX background I felt the same way when I first got my predator, but I'm only 5'8" so I don't think its as bad for me though. One thing I did was I sent my shocks out and had them revalved and changed the springs. It gave me alot more sag in the rear but it can still handle big hits without bottoming out. Randy at Walker Evans did an awesome job with my shocks and they didn't even charge me to revalve them.

Along w/ Ruckus' info, you could also do some slight "shortening" to the rear subframe.

Thats a great idea, I will check into refoaming my seat! Subframe mod is alittle out of my league!
Ruckus did you have the fox shock revalved? or do you have the WE shock on back as well?

I have them on the front, I never did use the front fox shocks, but the WE shocks sure are nice.
