I know most of you do your own work on your quads, and i've decided to do my own (on my '02 scrammy 2x4) as well since my dealer has doubled labor costs. I know i'll need a manual and most advised for the factory one over the others in a recent thread, but i got a few questions. first, where to get it, i've found a lot of sites on the net that claim to be the factory one but alot of them are differnt from each other, second, does it explain things like adjusting the carb, jetting, clutching, etc. Lastly, how "hard" is it to do it all myself, i've worked on a lot of simple engines, rebuilding and such, and never found one i couldn't fix, but never an engine as big as quads. Thanks for any input and all the tips i've picked up in past threads.

The Polaris manuals get into jetting and clutch tuning a little. They are meant to keep the quad to factory specs so you won't find much help in tuning when your trying to turn the quad into a screamer. That's what we are all here for.lol I've had good luck with getting the factory type manuals on ebay. It may take a few weeks for your model to come around. Your dealer will be able to order you a factory manual for sure. If you have any mechanical ability you will be fine. Once all that plastic is out of the way it's starts looking like any other machine. Good luck!

I got a factory service manual for the Boss on ebay. 23.50 including shipping, compared to 50.00 + from the dealer. Their user name was wardmotorsports, but I don't see them with any other mauals right now. I took a while to find one for my model, now I'm keeping an eye out for the Blazer. Good luck.
