Thats the issue, I think we worry about what everyone else thnks, WAY to often.
In the days of 700 CC twins, 400's are tiny.
BUT I didnt buy mine to race, I bought it for specific riding styles. It fills that need nicely.
I also think the 400 is one of the most reliable of Polaris motors. Been around for quite some time!

Kushman-What benefits, exactly, did you get from the heelclicker? I'm looking to install one. Also how dificult to do?

Mine is the '03, I love it. But, I do wish I would have gotten the scrambler just because I tend to ride my sportsman a lot harder than it was designed for.

Well, That was my thought last year when I baught this one. I wanted a sportsman for hunting and a Yamaha WR 450 for playing. Then I would have both. Besides my 3 yr old boy thinks bike are the coolest thing and my daughter wont get on one anymore. I think I scared her with too many wheelies.
The plan was working till I flipped the quad over backwards on about a 15 foot hill. Now the wife says "Its yours ,I want my own.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]
So now I just ride the **** out of it and have fun.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
