400 xplorer 4x4

Default 400 xplorer 4x4

has anyone out there made any upgrades on a 2000 400 xplorer? trying to figure out best power increase for low and mid range, top end ok. don't want too loud of a pipe, thanks for ur input.

pipe and clutch springs sound like what you need... talk to some of the scrambler guys.. they can help you more than i can..

Default 400 xplorer 4x4

Here you go.First off go with an Aaen Torquer pipe and silencer(not real loud)then a good K&N or UNI air filter,set of Boysen Power reeds,rejet the carb,a clutch kit and when it is time to rebuild put in a Wiesco piston and port the cylinder.This is about all I have done to my 400 Sportsman and it is a beast.
